AN AFRIKAN-CENTRED HAVEN OF SPIRIT - CULTURE - LEARNING - TRADE

ABOUT

Yemanja is an Afrikan word that represents the orisha (deity) of the sea. In Afrikan tradition Yemanja is considered to be the mother of all other orishas. She presides over fertility and procreation. She combats the birth control imposed upon Afrikan people and governs the fishing seasons. This powerful deity of the sea is also referred to as Yemoja, in West Afrika, Yemaya in Cuba and Agwe in Haiti. Yemanja is a powerful expression of traditional Afrikan culture that continues to be celebrated by Afrikan people on the continent of Afrika and by Afrikan people of the Diaspora.

Yemanja as an institution of spirit, culture, learning and trade has a range of important activities on offer.
